My recent flight

Just a quick post about my recent holiday to Cape Verde. I usually hate flying so just wanted to tell you a bit about my experience at the airport before we boarded the plane.

First of all I had a hand and arm massage by the lovely Lucy at Jo Malone. She explained to me all the different fragrances but I finally settled on the Pear and Freesia.

The shop was amazing and had so many different products and fragrances.

The massage was so relaxing and my hands felt so soft afterwards. After my visit to Jo Malone I then went back into the World Duty Free shop to the Mac counter to gave my make up done. As we had woken up at 1am to get to the airport my face was in major need of attention.

Before I knew it, my face had been made up and I looked and felt great. It was a great pick me up and helped me to relax and not worry about the upcoming flight.

Holly the personal shopper then guided us around the store and helped us if there was anything we wanted to look at.

With Nick’s birthday in October I wanted to get him a new watch and I cant ever go to the airport without buying a new Chanel lipstick!

Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to my new visit to WDF at Gatwick 🙂

Recent trip through duty free

I LOVE shopping at the airport, so on a recent trip I had a good look around the World Duty Feee shop. Every holiday I find myself in there buying a Chanel lipstick. The prices are great because it’s all duty free and they have so many different make up brands it’s hard to decide what to buy.

Nick had to drag me away from the huge selection of sunglasses as I really don’t need another pair and we are trying to save money but honestly I could have easily bought two pairs!

As well as treating myself to a lipstick I bought my dad an aftershave set. I just love the sets where you get a nice selection of different scents. My dad recently wanted my help in choosing a new aftershave so I thought why not treat him to this set so he has a few to decide between.

Oh and of course I had to buy chocolate but that got eaten so no picture!

Looking forward to my next holiday (and shopping trip)

Travel gifts

I wanted to share with you all these lovely travel gifts available to purchase at the World Duty Free shops. You will have seen these at most UK airports and they are great shops to visit if you are after a bargain. As well as offering duty free prices they often have travel exclusives and other great offers!

GUERLAIN Les Colours De La Petite Robe Noire*
This palette is beautiful. It includes : eyeshdow, face powder, blush and lip gloss. It is the perfect travel companion. This is a fab set and it also has a mirror inside for easy application on the go. The eyeshadow shades are beautiful and the lipgloss is extremely shimmery. I almost didn’t want to start using the products as the powder and the blush have a great design on them. I did take pics before I used it though! As with most make up I own, my mum is already trying to steal this off me so I will probably buy her one next time I go on holiday. The great thing about this is the shades are suitable for a wide age range and will appeal to a lot of people.

LANCOME La Petite Collection*
Most girls love lip gloss, I have always been a fan of the “juicy tubes” and this set includes 5 great shades : cerise, marshmallow electro, lychee, fraise and pamplemousse. This is an exclusive travel set and would be great to buy as a gift or to use yourself whilst away. It is hard picking what make up to take on holiday with you but with all these great shades you can have lips to match all of your holiday outfits! All of the lip glosses have a fruity scent, which I love and as they are in a tube they are so easy to apply 🙂

MOLTON BROWN Orange & Bergamont Travel Hand Care Set*
I have always been a massive Molton Brown fan and this set is perfect to take on holiday. There is nothing worse than packing a massive bag of toiletries and then realising you are over your weight limit or something has leaked so this set is great as both products are 100ml you can take them on board with you! I hadn’t tried this scent before but now it has become one of my favourites, you can really smell the orange and it is so fruity and fresh. I find when I travel it makes my skin really dry so this is great to use on the plane to keep your hands nice and soft!

I cannot wait for my next holiday so I can go shopping at the airport. I always believe that a holiday starts, not when you land at your destination, but in the shops before you even board the plane!

If you would like a more detailed review of any of the above products please let me know! 🙂
