Trying some Clinique products

I love going to John Lewis, they have so many different brands one one shop, especially all of the beauty counters! One of my favourite stores to go to is the Kingston branch and they have a great Clinique counter there so I decided to give these a go:

Clinique

Clinique smart custom repair serum was created as a serum that adapts to your own needs, so it will react differently for different people. I have been using this on my nose as it has been really dry recently and I also tried it on my forehead(another area I often suffer with dryness). It didn’t feel too sticky as often serums can. It seemed to soak in really quickly and by morning my face felt a lot better.

I used the Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief all over my face ( I always moisturise after my serum) and it really seemed to help. Even if you suffer oily skin it is still important to moisturise. This left my face really soft in the morning (I applied both products before bed).

Dior

I have been trying a couple of Dior samples I picked up in John Lewis to see how I got on before committing to buying a full size product.

Dior

Dream skin helps to tighten pores and even out skin-tone, this would be designed for the more mature skin as over time it helps to combat wrinkles and ageing skin. As I am in my late 20s it is important that I start to think about products like this to try and tackle signs of ageing before they become a problem.

La creme helps to plump up your skin and make you feel and look more youthful. it leaves you looking radiant and leaves your face so smooth its crazy.

Le nectar is a serum with the same properties as la creme but doesn’t have that creamy texture. It leaves your face super smooth and feeling hydrated and leaves you glowing.

I think my favourite was la creme as it sunk in well and left my face looking great!

Molton Brown goodies

Finally got my hands on some new Molton Brown goodies from John Lewis 🙂

They have always been one of my favourite brands, one I use as a treat as it would be too expensive to use in the bath everyday!

£19

The first set is a colourful selection of body washes which can be used as bubble bath too, you only need a tiny bit 🙂 this is a great way to try all of the different scents.

£40

The second set is a travel essential set which I haven’t actually opened yet but all of the products have the same scent so go together! I am excited to start using some if the set.

Loving my new purse

My new favourite purse is from John Lewis at Kingston. I had a Pauls Boutique bag a few years ago but hadnt purchased anything from them since. They have great designs and colours so very hard to think I nearly forget about them!

The purse is a great size and features a grey snakeskin effect one side and a bright pink/orange snake effect on the other.

The purse is £40 which I think is a good price for something decent like this. It is the perfect size to fit in everything (I have so many loyalty cards and things and always have to have a big purse!)

You can see above how many sections it has 🙂

Elemis / John Lewis Kingston

What better way to celebrate the new Elemis counter at John Lewis Kingston than to try some of their great products?!

Not had a chance to try them all yet but wanted to share my thoughts on Frangipani body cream. I LOVE this scent. I am a big fan of the body oil in this range so was excited to try this too! It left my skin really soft and smelling great. I used this on my fry elbows and on my arms and you only need a small amount which is great.

The skin nourishing body scrub has become one of my favourite products. I use this in the bath on my dry knees and elbows and it has made a big difference. It isn’t a harsh scrub, often scrubs make my skin sore, but this just leaves you feeling soft and gets away all the dry skin. If you use the body cream after the scrub you won’t be able to stop stroking your soft skin!!

Looking forward to trying the face products too 🙂
