Skin Chemists – Pure Retinol 0.3% Biphase Serum

I had been wanting to try a retinol treatment for a while and came across this one from Skin Chemists and as I have tried a few bits from them before and always been impressed I decided to give it a go.

Skin Chemists – Pure Retinol 0.3% Biphase Serum

£39.90

“Daily Biphase serum instantly replenishes moisture and revives skin’s radiance with the help of its powerful active Retinol. This special form of vitamin A has been proven to minimize fine lines, improve pigment problems, revitalize skin and make its overall appearance fresher and more youthful. The lightweight serum effortlessly melts into the skin leaving a velvety-soft finish, with a quick-absorbing formula created combining the freshness of water with the nourishing effects of Retinol.

Why do I need this product?

• Prevents wrinkles and smoothes existing fine lines
• Brightens dull skin by exfoliating at a cellular level
• Fades dark age spots, sun damage & hyperpigmentation

What are the key benefits?

• Retinol can reduce the appearance of ageing with impressive results
• Helps to defy signs of ageing – including softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and uneven tone
• A powerful form of Vitamin A, Retinol encourages cell turnover, revealing healthier, softer skin while also tackling blemishes and dark spots” – skinchemists.com

I have been using this now for a couple of weeks along with a brightening face wash and moisturiser to really try and tackle acne scars and also to try and stop my skin ageing. Retinol, when used correctly can be amazing for your skin. It will tackle ageing as well and smoothing out your skin and helping with any scars or pigmentation.

I have really noticed a difference whilst using this and not only does my face feel softer, it also looks a lot softer and brighter.

Have you used a retinol product before?

New brand: Grace your face

I recently came across a brand called Grace your face that offer some great face products and are in such cute packages!

I have been using the pore strips and also the oil blotting tissues.

The pore strips are very easy to use and I suffer badly with blackheads on my nose so these are great to get rid of any congestion and you can really see a difference after using them.

The oil blotting tissues are great to carry about with you if you suffer from oily skin. They are easy to use and your make up stays in tact whilst these sheets remove excess oil from your face.

Big thumbs up 🙂

Jurlique

I am a massive Jurlique fan, my collection is growing as I fall more and more in love with their range.

They are bringing out an exclusive offer to anyone that visits their counter at Debenhams Oxford Street. It starts Thursday 22nd(tomorrow!) and will run for 2 weeks.

Jurlique

If you purchase 2 facial skincare products you will receive the following as a FREE gift. I mean, come on, who doesn’t love a good free gift?!

Jurlique

The gift is valued at £65.00 and contains two of their best-selling products:

Rosewater Balancing Mist 50ml

Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum 30ml

There is also a sample of the Activating Water Essence in there!

I personally love the Rosewater balancing mist and use it on a daily basis. It is sat on my desk at work and I have a quick spray if my face starts to get hot throughout the day as it helps to calm and soothe my skin. It leaves your skin so so soft and refreshed 🙂

The Herbal recovery advanced serum is great to use before bed, it soaks in well and you can really see a difference after using it. It leaves my skin looking revitalised and feeling hydrated.

If you live near London and want to treat yourself then it is worth taking advantage of the offer.

I love the skin balancing face oil so give that a go if you are stuck on what to buy 😉

Trying an at home peel by Monu

I recently came across this skincare system to give you a salon treatment but in the comfort of your own home.

Monu

The kit contains everything you need: Resurface and peel paste, resurface and peel lotion, hydrating moisturiser and an application brush.

Monu

Step 1 is to apply the paste evenly over your face

Step 2 apply the lotion, this then foams slightly on your face. Once this has been left for a few minutes you then rinse off with cold water

Step 3 apply the moisturiser, you need to make sure you use this a couple of times a day over the next few days!

My face felt SO smooth afterwards. It did like a little sore but what do you expect?!

The next morning my face was literally glowing and it felt so clean and it honestly felt brand new, The great thing about the set is even though it is quite expensive (£70) you get quite a few uses out of it. I dread to think what this would cost to have done at a salon.

I picked a weekend to do it so I could be make up free as didn’t want to clog my pores straight after!
