CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE 2015 : GADGETS

Gadgets

Spa lights

£6.95
These are a perfect stocking filler. They can float on water, be stuck on tiles or stuck in the bath under water. Definitely a great item to have if you want to have a relaxing bath. They would be great to buy someone along with some bath bombs or other bath products! If you are going to buy them remember to get some batteries too!

Santa phone case

£9.99
I hoard phone cases but have never had a specific Christmas one before. It would make a great gift for anyone, its one of those novelty ones that are rubbery and it looks awesome on my phone, only problem is it wont fit in my pocket!

****************************************

Selfie stick

£14.99
I used to laugh at people with these but they are becoming more and more popular and wherever you go, someone has one. I can’t wait to take some Christmas day selfies with my husband in front of our tree as it will be our first Christmas as husband and wife and also our first Christmas in our house. I had a quick go of it earlier and it is so simple and easy to use.

****************************************

USB cable

£14.99
I love these cables, they are so cool. I had a black one that I used to wear as a bracelet( I always have to charge my phone when I go out!), but it was a little too big as I have tiny wrists. This one seems to fit a lot better. It is a handy way to carry your phone charger. Even if you don’t wear it, it is easy to pop into your bag and it wont get tangled and the end wont get bashed. The come in a variety of colours and I actually prefer this to a normal phone charger as I find I always break the normal cables.

I prefer cocktails not too strong but someone else may want it a bit stronger 🙂 They have lots of different ones and the mojito one looks so good!

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE 2015 : FRAGRANCES

Fragrances

Roberto Cavalli

£35 from The Perfume Shop
I personally love getting new perfume as a gift, it’s a way of trying something new that I wouldn’t usually buy myself. I am a big fan of Roberto Cavalli handbags so was interested to try the fragrance. I like the design of the bottle, especially with the zebra print, it’s like it is advertising it is going to bring out the animal in you! You can really smell the orange/flowery scent and it also contains pink peppercorn which is one my favourite scents.

****************************************

Desigual – fun

£29 but on offer for £17 at The Fragrance Shop
Another perfume worth trying is this on by Desigual. IT is called fun so it is only right that it smells fun. What exactly does “fun” smell like though?! It is very floral but at the same time fruity. You can really smell the pear in it. It is a great scent and a bargain 🙂

****************************************

The library of fragrance
Caribbean sea

£15
The library of fragrance offer a crazy selection from pizza scent to clean sheets or gin & tonic. I would love to try them all! Caribbean sea smells exactly how you would imagine. It is very light and reminds of the beach, making me want to go away and sip cocktails by the sea. It would be a great fragrance to wear as a pick me up when you feel down about the dull weather at this time of the year! Not only does it smell like the sea, it reminds me of the fresh smell as you walk onto the beach, like the fresh air with just a hint of the sea and sand 🙂

Candles

Scentelite candle

The Petal

£20
I am a massive candle fan, it is always nice to have a more luxurious one rather than your bog standard candle. I cam across Scentelite online and they are based not far from where I used to live so decided to try out one of their candles. The candle is quite big and can burn up to 40 hours, so if you only use it for a couple of hours at a time it will last ages! They have lots of scents, I chose “The Petal”, it has a very strong smell so when you aren’t burning it, the room still fills with the sweet smell. I think its worth spending it bit more a decent candle and I was really pleased with this one! You would expect this scent to be quite floral but I found it a bit more fruity 🙂

Zebra satchel bag
£17
I love zebra print and handbags so what more could I ask for?! It is from Bad Sheep Boutique who are an online shop that have a great range of clothing and accessories. They also do this bag in plain black 🙂 It is a good size and also has a long strap you can use. Satchels are very popular recently so this would be a great gift!

****************************************

Cloud necklace
£8
Cloud earrings
£5
These are so cute it is unreal! I love little jewellery pieces like this, adds a finishing touch to any outfit. They have lots of jewellery items on their website and I want them all! They are so reasonably priced as well and have been hand crafted to a high standard.

****************************************

Clothing

Dark Bunny Tees Gremlins jumper

£25

I am a massive massive massive Gremlins fan, if you haven’t seen the film, go watch it right now! When I came across Dark Bunny Tees on Twitter, I just had to have this jumper. They do jumpers a t shirts from lots of different tv shows and films so it is worth checking out their website. This jumper fits me perfect and is a soft sweatshirt material, can’t wait to wear it on Christmas day!

****************************************

Hello Kitty flashing t shirt
£12.99
This is literally so cool. It reacts to sound and flashes (video on link above!). I love hello kitty so this was a must have! You imply put batteries in the battery pack and turn it on. The panel at the front is removable and so is the battery pack so it is easy to wash. Something like this would be great for anyone as they have different designs for men, women and children 🙂

****************************************

Superman flashing t shirt
As above, you simply add batteries and off you go! This is a great one for man, they also have spiderman and batman 🙂 I just love the concept of these and the fact they are sound activated means they aren’t constantly flashing, just when you are near music or if someone is talking to you!

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE 2015 : MAKE UP

Make up

The Swag Bag

Small £9.99

Big £12.99

I was looking for a new make up bag to carry round in my handbag and this one caught my eye. They do lots of different bags, all different designs and slogans and also in a variety of sizes. This one is perfect for everyday use to carry round my essentials in my handbag.

****************************************

Urban decay vice 4

£43

I have only ever used the Naked palettes before so this was a pleasant change. The Vice 4 comes inside an eye catching bag and the packaging is multicoloured to match the eyeshadow shades. Since changing my hair to a crazy unicorn/mermaid combo this will come in handy so I can make my eyes more colourful too! The shades are highly pigmented and its worth investing in a more expensive palette like this as you cant really match the quality of Urban Decay eyeshadows.

****************************************

Dr paw paw – tinted peach pink balm

£6.95

I am a massive Dr Paw Paw fan, I reviewed the red one over a year ago here. I also love the original but this was my first time trying the peach. It is a great lip balm and really does make your lips super soft whilst adding a hint of colour. The original one can also be used as a multi purpose balm as it is not tinted 🙂

****************************************

Charlotte Tilbury colour morphing eyeshadow pencil

Mesmerising mink

£19

Charlotte Tilbury is one of those brands that everyone now loves, I hadn’t heard of them until this year but they do some great products. The colour chameleon eye pencils adapt with your eye colour and compliment your eyes. There are different shades depending on your eyes. I have blue eyes so the shade that was recommended for me is mesmerising mink, it really helps your blue eyes to stand out. I would love to know if anyone else has used these? The creamy texture is easy to apply and the product is long lasting 😉

****************************************

China glaze mini mixers

£14.99

I adore nail products and Christmas is the best time to get hold of limited edition sets and also minis like this. It is a fab way to try lots of new shades as I hate paying for a full size nail polish and then realise I don’t actually like it once I have put it on. This set has 6 colours, a mixture of glittery, matte and shimmery. This set is from Sally’s and they often have the small gift sets on 3 for 2 nearer to Christmas so I would recommend going in store to have a look.

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE 2015 : HAIRCARE

Haircare

Paul Mitchell – because you’re POLISHED

£35

The set contains:

Super Skinny Daily Shampoo 300ml

Super Skinny Daily Treatment 300ml

Super Skinny Serum 150ml

This set is ideal for anyone with frizzy/damaged hair (like me!). It helps to smooth your hair and makes it look in a lot better condition. The serum really helps your hair. It is like when you use a facial serum, you can really feel and see a difference, your hair is similar to that. You need to nourish your hair and look after it if you want it be strong and healthy.

****************************************

Osmo Blinding Shine Hair Shampoo & Conditioner

£13.99

These two come as a set and are quite a good size for the price. These also help to smooth your hair and leave it looking shiny and clean. I found you didn’t need to use much shampoo to get a good lather and I love the smell of both of them.

****************************************

Osmo colour saviour
£19.99
This includes:
Colour Mission Colour Save Shampoo 300ml
Colour Mission Colour Radiance Mask 300ml
Blinding Shine Illuminating Finisher 125ml
This set is great for anyone with coloured hair so ideal for me with my pink/purple/blue combo! The worst thing about bright hair is how quick it fades so I always try to use a “colour safe” shampoo and conditioner. This set is a great price and although I haven’t used the finisher yet I am getting on great with the shampoo and I really like the mask. It is important for me to use a mask at least once or twice a week as bleaching and dying my hair has left it in a bad condition.

****************************************

Joico colour endure set
£22.85 (Worth £26.90)
The Set Contains:
Joico Color Endure Shampoo (300ml)
Joico Color Endure Conditioner (300ml)
This is a great set for anyone with dyed hair, it works better on red hues so is great to keep my pink vibrant (This seems the be the shade that fades the fastest usually!). The shampoo foams well and gives your hair a proper clean without fading your colour. The conditioner left my hair really soft 🙂

****************************************

Swell ultimate volume shampoo

£25
I had read some amazing reviews about this brand on their website, you only have to click the link above to see what I mean. Originally I thought it was quite expensive for the size of the bottle but once I started using it I soon realised you need literally the smallest amount ever to get a decent lather. One bottle can last up to 6 weeks! It cleaned my hair well without fading out my colour (I have pink/blue/purple hair and hate it when it fades too quick!). My hair felt super clean after using this and I love the pump bottle, so easy to use!

****************************************

Swell advanced volumizing conditioner

£28
Again, this is in an easy pump bottle. It left my hair feeling soft and manageable (I have very damaged hair that gets tangled so easy and is often hard to brush). After using this it seemed easier to brush through my hair and it also had a great shine and it definitely had more volume to it, making it not so flat to your head if you get what I mean.

****************************************

Swell advanced root nutrient complex

£32
I hadn’t heard of anything like this before but it is part of the Swell 3 step system so whilst I was using the shampoo and conditioner I decided to give this a go. Recently I have had a lot of fall out when I brush my hair(probably because I have dyed it about 27 times this year, not even exaggerating!). We all know healthy hair comes from the root, but how many people actually put things on the roots or scalp, apart from shampoo?! This precious baby helps to give you root volume and has really helped my hair, it is in better conditioner after using this for only a couple of weeks. I even think it might have helped it grow quicker which is a bonus.

****************************************

Wet detangle brush

£11.99

Everyone needs a good hairbrush, and the fact this one is gold is just amazing. I usually use a tangle teezer but sometimes I find them hard to use as they don’t have a handle. This brush is designed for de-tangling and does just what is says on the packet! It is easy to use and helped to keep my hair nice and it also looks great, What more could you want?!

****************************************

H2D Magicurl Grand
£65
First of all, I think this is a really good price for a curling want, usually they are way over £100! The last one I bought was £120 I think so this is nearly half the price. I have attempted to use straighteners to curl my hair before but it never works and my old wand broke after about 4 year so I have been using this one recently. It has a good size barrel and is so easy to use. It leaves your hair with perfect curl but also leaves your hair feeling soft and makes you feel like a Disney princess 🙂
