SOS SPF 50 Sun Cream

This is a great sun cream to use on hour face as is designed to be used on delicate skin and can be used near the eyes if needed. You only need a small amount and it soaks into the skin well. it’s a high factor but this is ideal for your face and for everyday wear during the summer as you really want to protect your skin from harmful rays that can damage and age your face. It also helps to reduce wrinkles and increases your skins firmness!

SOS H2O Day Serum

This is light enough to be used in the day but can also be used at night if you prefer. It has active plant stem cells to stimulate new skin cell production and improve skin elasticity as well as Anti-ageing ingredients that have been shown to reduce wrinkles, improve skin firmness, tone and significantly improve skin hydration.

It soaks well into your skin and you only need a small amount to cover your whole face. It leaves your face looking plumper and more hydrated and I really like the feel of my skin after using it.

SOS Protect Hand Sanitiser

This is a Benzalkonium Chloride-based hand sanitiser rather than Alcohol. Benzalkonium Chloride-based hand sanitisers have a greater sustained antibacterial activity than alcohol-based ones.

SOS Protect dries fast but slightly slower than alcohol-based hand sanitisers allowing more than the minimum contact time for complete efficacious coverage & delivers up to 3 hours of residual protection.

I really like the size of the bottle and the pump dispenser, it gives you the perfect amount you need to use and it doesn’t dry out your hands!

Tips For Choosing Skincare

Collaborative post:

Photo by Anna Shvets from Pexels

We are finally heading into the sunnier part of the year and therefore it is time to get a good skincare routine in place. The change in weather can often leave your skin feeling too dry or too oily – particularly if you keep using the same skincare routine that you were using in the cold winter months filled with time spent indoors and in the bath. When it comes to your skin there are a whole host of things that you need to think about and consider. Below we have put together a list of things you need to think about with your skincare.

Think of what you want it to achieve

There are many things you need to consider when choosing your skincare and the first of these is what you actually want it to achieve. Are you looking for products that will help with how to deal with skin redness? Are you looking to combat acne scarring? Or perhaps you have severely dry skin that you want to sort. No matter the reason there will be something out there that can help, it is just important you tailor your products for what it is that you want to achieve.

Consider what you get for the cost

Some skincare can be ridiculously overpriced so ensure that you are getting the right bang for your buck. It is a good idea to look at other online reviews from people beforehand so you can see if the product you want is really worth it. If the product you have your eye on is really expensive, then it might be worth seeing if you can get a sample size beforehand so you can try it out. This way you can see if it is worth it or not before shelling out on it.

Are there ethical reasons?

Unfortunately, some products out there have been tested on animals, or contain ingredients that aren’t vegan. This is why it is a good idea to do research into a brand before you buy their products, particularly if you haven’t heard of the company before. With so many brands out there, you will be able to find plenty that fit in with your ethical guidelines but you will need to research first.

What are the ingredients?

If you have any sensitivities it is a good idea to check the list of ingredients before buying a product. Even products that you love and use regularly can mix up their ingredients from time to time if they update it, so ensure that you check and compare old and new bottles or pots each time you buy a new one.

These are just a few tips for choosing skin care products. Taking care of your skin is so important and that is why you need to make sure you make the right decisions. You only have one skin and so you want to take care of it. What are some top skincare rules or tips that you ensure you always adhere to? Let us know!

Guest post: Perry’s Bath Bombs

Guest post:

Hi there, I am Perry and I run an independent bath bomb business, based in Reading UK.

I started my little business as a side-line to my beauty salon. I wanted to produce bath bombs that were suitable for sensitive skins. Especially for children with sensitive skin as my daughter was irritated and allergic to nearly every product on the market. Very frustrating!

This idea then quickly grew into quite a substantial small business. I have been super busy over the 3 lockdowns and have grown my range massively. Due to my beauty salon being closed, I was able to spend more time growing my bath bombs and adding more to my range. I am so grateful for my lovely customers as they have kept the money coming in whilst I am unable to work in my primary business.

I am now very excited to announce I am branching out into wax melts! I have my own electric burner in my beauty salon and I love having different fragrances for my customers whilst they relax in a treatment. I have wanted to make melts for a couple of years now but the bath bombs have taken up all my time!

Initially I am focusing on scents that I already have in my bath bomb range so they can be paired up nicely. My other thought is that if purchasing a gift for a friend, it will be really lovely to be able to pop together a gift box with a mix of bath bombs, wax melts and maybe even a pretty wax burner.

I can ship gifts directly to recipients with a gift card which is also super handy in the height of a global pandemic when we are all locked down most of the time! Anyhow, I hope they will be a hugely successful as my bath bombs because they are lots of fun to make and I can get creative with the appearance and scents. There is no end to the combinations I can make!

My wax melts are vegan and CLP compliant. I spend a lot of time making sure all my products are correctly manufactured and I am fully insured. You can purchase via my website www.perrysbathbombs.com

I am always keen to hear feedback so do let me know if you try any of my new melts! Thanks so much for taking the time to read about me and my little product range.

Using this every few nights on my acne scarring on my chin has really helped to improve the appearance of the skin and help the scars heal quicker.
