R10 labs

This post contains gifted items

R10 labs have created a great range of men’s skincare products that are really good for your skin.

The idea for R10 Labs started from the inspiration to create a natural skincare company for men suffering with skin allergies. If you suffer with allergies you have to be so careful what you apply to your skin, especially your face or any other delicate areas.

My husband has been trying out a few bits from their range:

5 in 1 super hydrating face moisturiser

£10

The moisturiser contains 12 Potent Concentrated Botanical Extracts, 5 Moisturising oils, 2 Synergistic Anti-oxidants for FIVE powerful actions:

Moisturise: Deeply moisturising Argan, Olive, Coffee and Cherry oil combine to provide your skin the nutrition it needs to maintain a healthy barrier to hydrate your skin even in extreme conditions

After-Shave: A unique blend of botanical extracts helps to reduce inflammation, redness and razor bumps caused from shaving

Anti-spot: Myrica Gale is hailed as a wonder treatment for people with sensitive skin due to its unique spot fighting abilities which specifically target acne and help treat blemish prone skin

Anti-Irritation: A unique blend of botanical extracts boosted by Copaiba Extract has a powerful Anti-irritation action, perfect for sensitive or irritated skin

Anti-Ageing: Two synergistic anti-oxidants fortified with Phytic Acid & Coffee extract helps to revitalise skin or keep young skin in tip-top condition

This moisturiser has so many great features mentioned above and really helps to enrich and protect your face.

Active performance face wash

£7

This face wash features proprietary LiquiCrystal Technology with gentle sugar based cleansers to power through dirt & excess oil whilst protecting your skin’s natural barrier.

Nick has been using this for a couple of weeks and has noticed that his face is softer as at the same time as cleaning the skin it leaves it really moisturised. It has really helped to calm Nicks skin after shaving. I even used a bit on my legs after shaving and was really impressed.

Hybrid IQ shaving gel oil

£8

This shaving gel oil is so easy to use and we both tried it out. It helps to give you a really close shave and you don’t need to use much. It also leaves your skin really soft as it’s oil based.

Their whole skincare range does not contain – ALL Petrochemicals incl Parabens, Sulphates (SLS SLES) or Ionic surfactants, PEG’s, Alcohol, Pthalates, Silicone, Urea, Synthetic Dyes or colours, Mineral Oils, Petrolatum, MI, MCI and are NOT Tested on Animals.

Have you heard of this range?

Cancer Care Parcel

Ad – This post contains gifted products

A few years ago I did a post mentioning Cancer care parcels and I was reviewing their womens hamper but today I want to share with you some information about tier deluxe cancer care parcel for men which has been put together with a lot of thought.

The idea behind it is that if you know someone that is struggling with cancer you can buy them a parcel to lift their spirits and let them know you are thinking of them.
I think this is a great idea and as I had mentioned in my last post about these parcels, speaking from past experience, I really wish I knew about this company when my mum was diagnosed with cancer. I am thankful she got through it with radiotherapy and she now has the all clear but I think if I had given her something like this it really would have made her day and helped her through the tough times.

They do parcels specific for men women or children and you can view the whole range on their website. It is difficult to assemble the right care package for the person who needs it most. This gift is thoughtfully arranged by people who understand what cancer patients want.

This is taken straight from their website to show what is in the deluxe parcel for men:

✓ LAP TRAY: To make hospitals, bed rest and convalescence a bit easier

✓ USB LIGHT: For bedtime reading at home or in hospital

I really do think a box like this could really help someone. They have so many to pick from with a variety of people in mind, men, women, children, teenagers. They also have a large range with a variety of prices from £49-£149.

As well as putting these together, the company has some really useful resources to help people understand more about cancer and also advice if you have it yourself or if you have a family member or friend and you don’t know how to help. Resources like this can be really helpful. I was very lost when my mum was diagnosed and wish I had known about these resources to help our family through the tough times.

Father’s Day Gift Guide 2020

AD – This post contains gifted products

I thought I would share with you some ideas I came up with for Father’s Day this year. I buy for my dad, my father in law, my step dad, my grandad and sometimes my husband from our pets so have quite a few presents to buy! These are also ideas for any upcoming birthdays or anything and also great ideas not just for men!

Gameboy alarm clark

£24.99

Gameboy inspired homeware is amazing. I think a lot of guys(and girls!) would appreciate any of the products that Prezzybox have to offer when it comes to retro games. This alarm clock is so cool and would look great next to the bed. It is shaped like an old school gameboy and you can wake up to the official Super Mario Land theme tune!

Gameboy colour changing glass

£7.99

Also in the Gameboy range is this colour changing glass. The glass on its own is so cool but the fact it changes colour too just takes it to the next level. When you fill it with something cold it shows the game screen like you are really playing a game. This would be perfect for any gamer.

Personalised football book

From £39.99

If he is a football fan then these books are such a great gift. You can personalise it with any name and message and it also comes in a gift box. It includes every newspaper article for the team. I went for Fulham as thats my father in laws team and it goes back to 1908!It is made so well and looks so impressive. It is great to be able to relive old articles if you are a football fan and I love how it transitions from black and white to colour over the years!

Mummy Meagz Sea Salt and Cinder Toffee Rocky Road bars

£1.49 each

This rocky road bar is vegan and gluten free so this is an ideal treat for anyone that is eating a vegan diet or has a gluten or dairy allergy. I love the design on the packaging and it tastes so good! I am a big rocky road fan and this is the perfect size as a treat and they have so many different flavour bars to pick from. This is the second flavour I have tried and they are so good, I gave one to my boss as she is vegan and she liked them so much she bought a whole box! It can be hard to know what to buy someone vegan or gluten free if you want to get them something as a treat to eat but you cant go wrong with these.

Genie plates

£19.99 for a pack of 2

These plates are amazing. They are perfect for a BBQ or for using in front of the TV as they have somewhere to put your cutlery and as they aren’t flat, things wont fall off the side. They really are a great idea and if your dad is into BBQs as much as mine is then this would be the ideal gift to buy a pack of these. They aren’t too heavy and I love the curved design of them too.

Asda photo personalised mugs

From £7

The personalised mugs from Asda are a really great quality. Their online tool to customise the layout/size of the photos is so simply to use, I designed and ordered both the mugs straight from my phone. The pictures came out really well and the mugs look really good!

I went for one of my mum and step dad and edited it on the asda photo site to black and white and cropped it slightly. I think it came out so well and didn’t lose any of the quality.

I also went for one of me and my half sisters from a few years back as I thought this would be a nice gift for my dad as we don’t have many pictures of us all together.

Asda photo personalised jigsaw puzzle

From £10

My grandparents love a good jigsaw so I decided to get a personalised one made of the two of them. I went through all my pictures on my phone to find one of my favourite photos of them to have it made. It was so easy to resize it and create it online, it also shows you how it will turn out. In the box when it arrives it has the finished photo but it may be more fun to take this out to give it to them so they don’t know what it is?! Haha.

American Crew Acumen – Daily thickening shampoo and nourishing cream pomade set

£30

This can be purchased from Selfridges, Amazon and many other online retailers

If you wanted to treat him some hair care products then this set is great. It includes the thickening shampoo for those that are concerned about hair loss and also a water-based pomade with medium hold and shine that provides texture and allows to restyle.

The shampoo helps the thicken hair and reduce breakage and comes in a beautifully designed brown and navy pump bottle. The pomade is a decent sized pot in the same design.

Shea Moisture – African water mint & ginger detox body wash

£10.99

This is a great detox body wash, so for anyone that has skin exposed to the elements a lot or suffers with body acne then this is great. It smells so good and with the design and colours used on the bottle it isn’t gender specific. It is 384ml so quite a large bottle too.

I usually pick up this brand in Superdrug but you can also buy it online at a lot of places.

I hope you found this useful and got some ideas 🙂

Picking out a watch from Trendhim

AD – This post contains gifted products

My husband had been wanting a new everyday watch and I had received a few pieces from Trendhim before so decided to check out their watch range.

They have so many great watches to pick from, a good variety of colours and styles. Nick really wanted a watch that could be worn everyday and be causal but at the same time look smart enough he could wear it to meetings for work or smarter events.

Trendhim have a really great range of watches to choose from and they supply lots of different brands. They have a lot of leather strapped watches as well as metal ones and so a great range of pocket watches. We decided to filter by metal straps to try and find the perfect one for Nick.

Casio is a brand that has been around for as long as I can remember and their classic watches are timeless. They are always in fashion and are also so easy to adjust(if I wanted to borrow it!!)

The watch Nick picked out is the Casio retro classic in stainless steel and for £39 including delivery I don’t think you can go wrong!

The best features about this watch are:

Adjustable stainless steel wristband

12 or 24-hour format

LED backlight

Water-resistan

Stopwatch

Countdown timer

Alarm clark

Casio have a great range of watches all with these features so you could always opt for a gold toned one or many of their colourful rubber strapped watches.

The watch is perfect for Nick to wear everyday and I have always been impressed with things from Trendhim. They always have great deals and free delivery over £29

Picking out a new wallet

My husband had been wanting a new wallet for a while but had never found the perfect one. I had received a few pieces from Trendhim before so decided to check out their wallet range.

They have so many great wallets to pick from, a good variety of colours and styles. Nick really wanted a black wallet with a small compartment in for coins as often men’s wallets don’t have room for change, only cards and notes.

The one we picked out was the black leather California wallet for $49/£35. It has 5 compartments for cards as well as a pocket for an ID card, a main compartment for notes and a small section for coins.

You can actually fit 2 cards in each card slot so there is plenty of room for bank cards as well as any loyalty cards you may have.

The wallet is such great quality and I have always been impressed with things from Trendhim. They always have great deals and free delivery over £29
