Playing online games can have numerous benefits, especially for young players. Regularly engaging in online games can improve players’ short and long-term memory, as well as help the brain process information more quickly. Additionally, playing online games can improve problem-solving skills, planning abilities, and attention to detail.
A 2022 study found that online gaming can teach players important skills, such as negotiating and emotional regulation. Furthermore, playing online games can reduce stress levels and promote relaxation. Thus, online gaming can have cognitive and emotional benefits for players.
I wanted to share with you a couple of the online games I have been playing and enjoying over the last few weeks. There are so many different games sites and games to pick from it can often be overwhelming so I hope these inspire you!
In this game you get to work in a supermarket, managing stock and helping customers. You use the money you earn to buy more stock and improve the supermarket. It’s really quite fun!

It can get quite challenging when you have people queuing at the checkout and empty shelves and you need to do both at once haha. You have a limited time to click the people through the checkout and obviously want to restock as quick as possible. Over time you get more and more money so can expand and get more stock.

In this game it tests your brain a bit more as you have to work out what change to give from the notes and coins listed. It’s fun but will also keep your brain active!

You start off really easy but the harder levels it doesn’t tell you what to give, you have to work it out yourself.

You can play these games on your phone as well, not just on the PC!
I find playing games online a good escape and stress reliever. I usually download games from the appstore and often forget to search online for different ones to play so was pleased to come across these.
What’s your favourite game to play?
