How To Make Your Living Space Cosy

Collaborative post:

We all love to get home after a long, hard day and just relax and having the right ambience is important to help you wind down at the end of the day. There are many things that you can do to improve the ambience of your living space, and with that in mind, here are some examples.

The Right Lighting

Lighting is a critical element of a warm ambience and with LED solutions, it is very easy to create a soft light that is also adjustable (have dimmer switches installed). Wall lights are usually a better alternative to ceiling lights and floor level lighting is definitely worth exploring if you want easy on the eye solutions.

Solid Timber Flooring

The ultimate in premier flooring, high quality Melbourne solid timber flooring is a very attractive solution if you wish to bring a level of serenity into the equation. Seasoned timber is very attractive to look at and when sanded and polished. There’s little that can even come close to hardwood flooring, which will last for decades.

Soft Furniture

How about beanbags for the living room on a hardwood floor? Softness equates to luxury; a couple of hanging egg chairs on the terrace, a Lazyboy recliner in the lounge with a soft leather sofa and you have a relaxed seating set up.

Soft Pastel Colours

By far the best shades to create a relaxing ambience; Google Images is your best friend when looking for interior design inspiration and blending soft shades with the neutrality of timber makes for the perfect combination.

Cork Flooring

The soft and silent walking experience is a major reason to choose cork for your flooring, which is also sustainable and 100% natural, making it ideal. The cork is harvested every 9 years, and this is a very eco-friendly solution with no artificial additives. Plus, it really makes you feel like you are someone special.

Scented Candles & Incense Sticks

If you want to de-stress, both scented candles and incense sticks are valuable components that don’t cost much and once you get into the habit, you will automatically reach for the incense when you get home from work.

Soothing Wall Art

Prints of fine country landscapes or tropical rain forests would add a naturally soothing touch to the décor; check out the online suppliers of wall prints, which you can buy framed or unframed. Nature can be incredibly beautiful and if you choose the right prints, you can add a nice touch to any living space.

You could search with Google Images and get creative, while everything you need can be sourced online, so you won’t even have to leave your home. If your home is just as you would like it to be, recharging your batteries is easy and no matter how much pressure work brings, just think about the feeling when you arrive home in the evening.
