Getting the best deal on broadband

When moving it is always important to spend time looking at what deals are about, whether you already have broadband or you are a first time homeowner wanting to get it for the first time, you will more than likely want to get the best deal you can.

It can be confusing knowing where to start. When Nick and au moved in together so was suddenly hit with having to sort out our phone line and broadband and didn’t even know what to to!

I found an online broadband comparison website that offers a wide range of broadband phone deals and the way that the website works is that you enter your location and they do all the hard work for you. It is a comparison site which then shows you the best deals about, whether you want it the cheapest or the fastest, you can easily see what there is out there.

When looking for deals online for broadband it can be very time consuming but Cable has done all of the hard work for you. I always try to save money wherever I can so if you can save even just £5-10 a month on one bill it will soon add up. It is important to budget throughout the year when paying bills monthly and the deals will show you the monthly payment and also how long the contract lasts for. a many companies also offer an incentive like a £20 Amazon voucher or half price for the first 3 months but you can often get caught out by this as you think this is a good deal but it may end up costing more over a year. The comparisons show these deals clearly so it is really easy to see how much you would be paying monthly.

There are lots of companies I would never have even thought to look at. I had no idea John Lewis did broadband?!

You can also look at the various packages, so if you are tied into a phone contract and just want broadband you can filter for that or if you are looking for a complete package you can even get one with tv!

Who is your broadband with? Do you look at comparison sites for deals?

We’re with Virgin Media and we have their 200MB fibre broadband. We’ve also got TalkTalk as well and they’ve just sent us a new router because the old one wouldn’t let anyone connect to it anymore. Since that’s been installed it’s been great.
