I have finally settled on a hair colour, well four to be exact! I was getting bored of having just one colour so a few months ago I decided to go rainbow: pink, purple, blue and green.
As with any un natural hair colours they fade easy and I was finding myself re dying every 2-3 weeks which wasn’t any good for my hair!
I decided to give these Joico color butters a go as they are a colour depositing conditioning treatment for your hair that you only have to leave on for 5 mins and can last up to 10 washes.
As you can see my pink had faded a lot and the green pretty much had disappeared so I thought I would use these to brighten up my hair until I next dye it.
They were easy to apply. I am used to sectioning it off for doing my rainbow hair. Obviously if you only had one or two colours it would be easier. It only took about 5-10 mins to apply and was a lot easier than usual dye. It was quite a thick consistency meaning it was not so messy as normal dye. Usually I get it all over my ears and face but this didn’t make any mess, I still wore gloves though as didn’t know if it was likely to dye my hands.
I was really impressed with the outcome as usually I leave my dye on 45-60 mins so this is a great idea to refresh colour quickly.
As you can see I didn’t even use that much so I will get a few more uses out of them. As my green usually fades quickest this would be great to just redo the ends of my hair once a week or so.
My hair was left really soft as they are conditioning treatments. As you can imagine, my hair is quite damaged from all of the bleaching and dying so this is actually good for it!
