Cancer Care Parcel

Today I want to share with you my thoughts on the Womans Ultimate Hamper from www.cancercareparcel.co.uk.

The idea behind it is that if you know someone that is struggling with cancer you can buy them a parcel to lift their spirits and let them know you are thinking of them.
I think this is a great idea and speaking from past experience I really wish I knew about this company when my mum was diagnosed with cancer. I am thankful she got through it with lots of radiotherapy and she now has the all clear but I think if I had given her something like this it really would have made her day and helped her through the tough times.

They do parcels specific for men women or children and you can view the whole range on their website.

Taken straight from their website:

A specially created deluxe parcel providing useful, fun & comfort items for women with cancer.

Practical items for dealing with stress.

Everyone who receives a parcel is also given access to our increasing number of resources, aimed at supporting all those affected by cancer.

This is a really nice gift. I used to get my mum stuff from notanotherbunchofflowers.com when she had cancer and really liked the idea behind it; the lady set the website up because she found that most cancer sufferer’s can’t even eat chocolate due to their chemo and a lot of hospitals don’t allow flowers on wards these days! And flowers or chocolates are the typical things everyone buys people when they’re unwell or when they don’t know what to do/say. So it’s a really nice way to suggest alternative gifts they may actually use x

I’m glad I read this article. This is a really great idea for people with cancer, my aunty is currently going through treatment and I think this would make a lovely gift for her. I just wish they donated more of their proceedings to cancer charities tho!
